Investigation of Laminar Separation Bubble on Flat Plate with Adverse Pressure Gradient: Time-Averaged Flow Field Analysis

چکیده
The performance of turbomachinery blade profiles, at low Reynolds numbers, is influenced by laminar separation bubbles (LSBs). Such a bubble caused strong adverse pressure gradient (APG), and it makes the boundary layer to separate from curved profile surface, before becomes turbulent. paper consists on joint experimental numerical investigation flat plate with gradient. experiment provides detailed results including distribution wall coefficient velocity turbulence profiles for several values typical influencing parameters behavior flow phenomena: number, free stream intensity, end-wall opening angle, which determines intensity. work carrying out systematic analysis, Average Navier-Stokes (RANS) simulations. simulations are critically investigated compared ones in order understand effect main physical LSB behavior. For RANS simulations, different transition models first identify adaptability phenomena; then, influence three aforementioned under aggressive Boundary integral discussed cases phenomena terms time-mean properties.
